"I downloaded the book and thought I would save it for an upcoming plane trip after reading just a little bit.....well, I got so into Meredith and her men that I just kept going! Wight tells a wonderful story! I really cared about Meredith and hoped she made the right decision with her love life. So many twists and turns...I did not figure it all out til the end. Sure hope Wight has another book in the works." C.B. Evans Meredith Powers’ career as a medical editor seems safe enough as she searches for love with the right man. But she is pulled suddenly from her serene world in Boston to one of intrigue, kidnapping, and murder in the Caribbean. Meredith's simple life becomes terribly complicated when she works with an author who drags her into a drug heist. The reappearance of her ex-boyfriend, the D.E.A. agent, and the stunning response from her current accountant boyfriend all lead to complications, danger, and more than a few questions. Meredith wonders if she really knows the people who surround her in her daily life. Her parents, her best friends, her boss, even her lover. She discovers that almost everyone holds secrets, and the unearthing of those cover-ups lead to mystery and danger that changes everything, and everyone, she thought she knew.

This is one great read, that I had a hard time putting it down. I even took it jogging, if you can picture that. The story is brimming with action as Meredith Powers, a 32-year old woman with a demanding job and quirky family, gets caught up in a good-guy/bad-guy mess where it's hard to tell who's on what side. The mess is related to her ex-boyfriend Parker and his job, which required frequent mysterious disappearances. Theirs was a doomed relationship that she’d successfully put out of her mind… until he shows up out of the blue and everything goes haywire. The rip-roaring plot, full of twists and turns and lots of guessing on this reader’s part, was highly entertaining. But what I enjoyed most was Meredith as a character. She’s bright, sarcastic, outspoken, and strong-willed. She's also confused, recklessly brave, and tender-hearted. If she was a real person, I’d be torn between bopping her on the head and hugging her. The story is told in first-person from Meredith’s point of view. This allows for some fabulous commentary as part of her inner dialog. Her voice is strong, consistent, and thoroughly engaging.
Parker is an interesting character even though he’s actually absent from most of the book. The reader learns about him through Meredith, and the mystery surrounding his character is immensely appealing. All of the characters, even those with bit parts, are distinct with their own voices and personalities.
The pace is speedy, and the story is superbly edited. In my opinion, The Right Wrong Man will appeal to a broad audience with a little of something for everyone – action, mystery, suspense, and a pinch of romance. I want a sequel!

The Right Wrong Man Pamela S Wight 9780989932400 Books Reviews
The first pages of this thriller romance were not particularly fast-paced, and I thought I would be in for a slow, but sweet upbeat romance flavored with a thin mystery. Boy, was I wrong. The book speeded up, faster and faster, until by the time I was about 1/3 of the way in, I became so engrossed I almost missed an appointment. When I got back from my appointment, I decided to set everything else aside and finish the book because I was obsessed with discovering what was happening to the protagonist, Meredith, a medical book editor, and which--if any--of the three mysterious and sexy men involved on one side or another of an illegal drug scheme she would choose as her true love. This books features lots of adventure, suspense, and mystery.
Everyone looks for the book they can’t put down and THE RIGHT WRONG MAN is one such book. The story is positively captivating with lots of twists and turns leaving you wondering what would happen next. With elements of romance and suspense combined, this fast-paced novel is a real page turner.
The characters are fully developed and truly believable. Though there are multiple characters, each adding to the story, they are all distinguishable and leave no confusion over who is who. Mystery surrounds each of Meredith’s love interests culminating in surprises about each.
If you love a good mystery with romance heavily sprinkled throughout, this book is for you. There is nothing I didn’t like about THE RIGHT WRONG MAN. I have no reason not to award this book five stars.
The opinions expressed in this review are my own.
A fun romantic thriller, The Right Wrong Man introduces us to Meredith Powers, a headstrong but likable medical-textbook editor who is taken on a wild ride by three men (sometimes literally--from Boston to St. Thomas and back), none of whom she's sure she can trust. She knows what her heart says, but is her mind on the same page when it comes to love?
Sometimes you just need a bit of summer escapism. This fit the bill for me. Fun characters and fun twists and turns. It's a light, easy read, but one that will leave you satisfied.
Well, I am not at all surprised that I loved this book. Anyone who follows Pamela Wight’s blog, (Roughwighting), knows that she has a magical pen that floats through the air. I love that about her writing. I think I fell in love with Parker right away. He was mysterious and exciting. (the exact opposite of any man I would choose for myself). And of course, Meredith is that character that drags the reader right into the plot. I enjoyed this fast-paced book from beginning to end. And found myself wanting to turn to the end a few times to see what would happen… but I patiently made my way through. Superb writing and a great plot make this a must read romance novel. 😊
In Pamela Wight's The Right Wrong Man (2013), Meredith Powers is accustomed to spending her days helping authors turn out polished manuscripts. She’s good at it, one of the best, but not so much at running her love life. She falls body and spirit for a man named Parker Webb who disappears frequently for job-related work that takes him to dangerous parts of the world doing dangerous things. Finally, she can't stand the idea that she might lose him, that he would disappear in some foreign country and she'd never again hear from him, so she dumps. To recover from his unpredictability, she moves in with a handsome and dependable accountant. Parker reappears, filled with warnings of her safety telling her not to trust anyone, telling her his cover was blown and he isn now running for his life, and within days, she is kidnapped. The handsome FBI agent who holds her captive tells her a different story about Parker, of a rogue agent who fell to the dark side and that the US government needs her help capturing him. It is at this point she realizes she really does love Parker, doesn't believe this man who claims to be FBI, and commits herself to discovering the truth and saving Parker.
Highly recommended for those who need to escape their lives for at least a few hours.
